School Uniform
School Uniform
All pupils are expected to wear uniform and the help and co-operation of parents is appreciated. It also encourages togetherness and ownership.
We believe this helps to promote a positive ethos and sense of belonging. The children are proud to wear their Netherbrook uniform.
While generic uniform items do not require the school logo, the purchase of school jumpers, cardigans and t-shirts featuring the Netherbrook logo is preferred.
Ordering: We do not hold stock in school. Logo items can be purchased online from ACE Embroidery Ltd. or Crested School Wear, or in person at the Crested School Wear shop (Churchill Shopping Centre, Dudley, DY2 7BL).
Tie Standard or elasticated (paid for via Parent Pay and then collected from the school office)
Preloved Uniform
To ensure that all parents and carers are able to provide the required uniform second-hand uniforms will be made available by the school.
As a school, we ensure second-hand uniform is available to purchase at various events throughout the school year. Please keep an eye out on the weekly newsletter which will give you the dates.
School Meals
Healthy Eating
Our separate dining room caters for hot meals and sandwiches. The children can purchase meals or drinks from a range of dishes on sale each day. The choice is between three different hot dishes, salads, jacket potatoes or sandwiches.
Lunchtimes are staggered to reduce the number of children on the playground, and ensure that the children have a productive and positive lunch break.
School Meals
School lunches are booked through School Food United.
ALL school meals (even free school meals including Universal Infant Free School Meals) for children in every year group (Reception - Year 6) need to be ordered in advance using this app.
Children who pay for their meals should also pay in advance for them through the app.
The cut off time for ordering meals is 9am on the day. If your child is absent you MUST cancel their lunch or you still will be charged.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: FREE SCHOOL MEALS – GOVERNMENT CHANGES AND REAPPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
The Government has announced significant changes to the Free School Meals (FSM) scheme, which will take effect from September 2026. As part of these national updates, all children in households receiving Universal Credit will now be eligible for Free School Meals, with the previous income threshold of £7,400 being removed.
Please note that all existing FSM claims will end in August 2026. This means that every parent and carer must submit a new application, regardless of previous entitlement.
To ensure your child’s eligibility continues without interruption, please complete and return the new Free School Meals application form as soon as possible.
Pupils in the current Year 6 moving to High School in September will need to apply through their new secondary school, not Netherbrook.
If you require support with the application process, please contact the school office.
